What is Urban Picnic?

Urban Picnic is a gourmet eatery that serves healthy global inspired food, using premium quality ingredients; we adopt traditional global flavors and give them an urban twist to create a modern healthy gourmet experience.

What was the inspiration behind Urban Picnic?

An avid world traveler and foodie, Trang Nguyen wanted to create a gastronomical experience that serves her desire for international flavors shared with her need for healthy and socially responsible guilt-free ingredients.

She teamed up w/ renown three star Chef Tim Luym, former chef of Poleng Lounge and now Attic, to develop the menu behind Urban Picnic.  

:: Trang earned her MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan; Tim earned his culinary degree from the California Culinary Academy.

We make every effort to source organic, local, and sustainable ingredients when possible to provide you with fresh, healthy, and delicious options.  As always, our produce is delivered fresh daily.

Made to Order Artisan Food
Our artisan sandwiches, salads, soups and noodles are made to order.  Simply specify your individual requests upon ordering.  

Portion Size
Our portion sizes are intentionally designed to satisfy without excess, minimizing food waste, while maximizing your experience.

Our Deli Salads in particular, offer great flexibility.  You can mix and match several options to add a side salad to your sandwich or soup entrée or create a customized entrée size salad altogether.

How is Urban Picnic socially and environmentally responsible?

Urban Picnic was designed to provide modern comfort with a warm ambiance; magazines and free wi-fi add to the experience.

Where financially possible, green design and practice were in mind.

LEED accredited architects from @ Six Architecture and interior designer Ceci Merino designed the space.

- eliminates continuous paper consumption during menu changes
